Application

1. Decal Without Application Tape

   Our installers at Cycle Grafix have found that application tape is not needed on some of our one piece graphics. On curved surfaces such as tanks, fenders, helmets, etc.  We apply our graphics in house with no application tape. We also apply our graphics in house dry. Please choose what way works best for you!
   1. Find the perfect spot to where you want your new graphic.
   2. Peel the backing  at this time, (some installers take it all off, some leave half on and work one side at a time).
   3. Keeping the decal taut. Using even strokes, start at the middle of the decal, and work your way out.
   4. Your new Cycle Grafix art work is unlike most vinyl you may have ever worked with. You are able to work the air out of your graphic with your fingers or a squeegee. (You can use a credit card or driver’s license but take care not to scratch the top laminate. Tip: You can wrap your card with a clean soft cloth.)
   5. If you find that the edges want to fold due to a hard curve you can pull the decal harder. (Use caution you can over stretch the material.)
   6. Some installers and customers heat the graphic with a hairdryer. You will find the adding heat can make the vinyl a lot more pliable. (Use caution with any heat source, as you can over heat the vinyl. Use caution with heat near gas or any flammable material!!)
   7. Work out the whole decal and apply your final pressure to your Cycle Grafix art work. Now that your finished, snap a few photos to send to us for our website.
   8. Go out and “GET NOTICED!!!”

   Graphic With Application Tape

   1. Decide where you want your Decal to go.
   2. Tape it into position with small pieces of masking tape along the top of the decal. Remove the Decal, leaving the marks on the Install Surface.
   3. Remove and discard the masking tape and backing at this time, keeping the Decal taut and adhere Decal.
   4. With the Application Tape still intact, take your driver’s license or a credit card and apply the lettering or graphic by pressing on the surface of the Application Tape. Using even strokes, start at the middle of the decal, and work your way out.
   5. Carefully remove Application Tape.
   6. Work out the whole decal and apply your final pressure to your Cycle Grafix art work. Now that you’re finished, snap a few photos to send to us for our website.
   7. Go out and “GET NOTICED!!!”
